In these days when you study information design, you get pretty tired of the looks of computer-generated visualizations. Everything is vectorized and so fresh and so clean. That’s why this watercolor map tile set made by Stamen Design is long-awaited (read about the tiles here) – while still computer-generated it looks hand-drawn and old school.
Right now, you can look at the 8-bit version of Google Maps if you click on “Quest” in the top right corner of the map.
